What would you like to do over the next few months at Waco Knitters? Are there activities you would like to do outside of knitting? Demos you want to see? Some past activities have been going to a Baylor baseball game for a "Stitch n Pitch" and having a "Knit n Nosh" with goodies people bring to a regular knitting circle.
We would love to hear your ideas! Leave a comment and let us know what you want to see. We had a great time at our new meeting room at the South Waco Library and collected 23 baby caps! Recap courtesy of Laura:
The South Waco Library meeting room (front left) worked well and we decided to keep meeting there on the 2nd and 4th TUESDAYS of each month. Please note the location and date change. Several people have expressed interest in using Ravelry.com but are not sure how to get started. This video covers how to sign up and gives an overview of the main Ravelry homepage and the user profile page. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more How-To-Ravelry videos!
We had a great meeting with almost 30 people! We collected 168 hats!!! Wow! That is enough for every baby born in a month at Providence. Great job!
Note: Our next meeting will be at a different location on a different day. We are working on finding a meeting place that is large enough and available for us to use. Next knitting circle will be on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25th at SOUTH WACO LIBRARY at 2737 S I8th Street, in the Meeting Room at the front left of the library. Jessica will be demonstrating how to make amigurumis. |
