These are photos of the donations from our last meeting. Great job, everyone!
This week's baby hat pattern is a super popular crochet pattern, the Divine Hat. It comes in adult and baby sizes. There are some tutorials on YouTube for this hat; one of them is below.
The first SSK (sip, sup, knit) of the new year is scheduled as follows. Please join us for a beverage (adult or not), dinner, and/or knitting.

1230 N Valley Mills #100 (next to ALDI)
Thursday, January 16
5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
If you can’t get there right at 5:00, that’s ok. We’ll be there ‘til 8:00 or later.
Post on Ravelry or on the FB event page if you’ll be there, so we know how to set up tables.
On our Ravelry group, we are posting a hat pattern each week to provide new ideas for baby hats. They will also be added to the blog here on the website. These are the hat patterns so far. We would love to see your hats you make!
Week 0: (knit) Luuk
Week 1: (crochet) Football Baby Hat
Week 2: (knit) Golden Pear
Waco Knitters is off to a great start in 2014! This Thursday, we had 31 people, including 13 newcomers. There were all levels, from long-time knitters to first-time crocheters. There was lots of sharing, teaching, and learning going on, and everyone received a package of Lion Brand Bonbons and a crochet hook, courtesy of Lion Brand yarns. We used them to learn how to make a crocheted bracelet with Hannelore's great demo. Click on the photo below to download the pattern.
Barely a week into the year and we have already collected 61 baby hats for Providence Hospital. Great job! Our first delivery will be at the end of March.
Next Knitting Circle is Thursday Jan 23rd 5 - 7pm at the West Waco Library in the MEETING room (up front, left side). It's a much larger room. Anyone that wants to help set up tables and chairs is welcome to come early; we'll be setting up at 4:30 pm. We will have a demo on Fair Isle type socks by Jill. We hope to see you there!
