Waco Knitters help Veterans

6/27/2014

Waco Knitter Sandy has a personal ministry where she raises money through her craft booth at Craft Gallery, collecting and delivering items for the 25-bed Waco Veterans Administration Hospital Hospice patient ward.  And of course, the always-generous Waco Knitters help her make it possible by saving their travel size toiletries and magazines.  Waco Knitter Gayle even uses coupons and buys the much-enjoyed fruit cups and other drug store freebies like toothpaste.

Additionally, at Christmas, 25 Waco Knitters each take an empty gift bag and fill it with items an end-of-life hospice patient might enjoy.

Thanks to all who participate!  God Bless our Veterans.
